"A TISKET, A TASKET?"
(With Apologies For Meter And Rhyme)

For you, Dear __________, A Golden Basket,
Nantucket, by name, should you need ask it;
And the amazing thing - beyond belief -
Is that 'twas way down south at Ocean Reef
That first we saw and really grasped it
At a lovely shop, The Golden Basket.

Then three months later, back up north,
I appalled myself when I brought forth,
Nearly forgotten above my books,
A rattan basket and with its looks
Our interest again was greatly piqued
By a Nantucket basket, a real antique.

So here where these beauties, rattan and gold,
Have had their homes, the new, the old,
And all their charms and glories beguile
Us now on Nantucket, the far-away isle,
It seems no sin for us to task it
With creating a theme for us, the Nantucket Basket.

With Love, From _____________
