Our original design Lightship Baskets are made with oak staves, oak hoops, and Malay cane
for weaving. We faithfully follow tradition, using our own molds. The basket is made on
Nantucket, by hand, of the same materials used by old time craftsment. The baskets are
finished naturally, so they will darken with age. Our kidney baskets are designed by
Glenaan and sold exclusively through The Golden Basket.
The tops of the baskets are individual; you can choose ivory, wood,
or both with scrimshaw or hand carved ivory. Available in:
